Why Do You Want To Live In Boca/Ft Lauderdale?

The idea and urge to leave Miami started almost two years ago mainly because I felt that it was time to move on. I sent many applications to Tampa since I had started taking classes at the University of South Florida (USF). However, several aspects continued holding me hostage and implicating my advancement. First, at this moment, I did not possess any experience in the field of Taxes and Accounting, and as such, I could not find any job in this line. Secondly, I was adamant to continue working in the audit field because of my conflicting interests. With my relentlessness, I eventually found an opportunity at KSDT, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms located in South Florida. Some of the core competencies that the institution relies on include industry knowledge, technical expertise, and national firm experience among others. I began as an interim in the tax department, and after four months, I received an offer that saw me work in the company for two years. Since then, I have, and this gave me an opportunity to explore Florida and further see areas that I could potentially like to move. Some of my favorite places in Florida include Florida, Boca, Raton, and Ft Lauderdale. I also love Tampa, St Petersburg, and Jacksonville.

Tell Me About A Time A Team Member Wasn’t Contributing Their Share.

Working in a job that requires teamwork comes with a variety of challenges. Accounting is one of the professions where collaboration is an essential tenet for success. When working at KSDT as an interim in the tax department, we were occasionally given roles that we were supposed to complete jointly. I remember one of the most challenging jobs in the department involved computerizing tax compliance information for various business entities in the state. Other than being cumbersome, the job required keenness to ensure that mistakes remained nonexistence throughout the entry process. Therefore, to make work easier, we would occasionally divide it based on the nature of the business and individuals would be assigned to do the entry. However, out of the five people working in the department, one of us would not do their part until the deadline date. Therefore, in a bid to save face, we would, thus, help them to ensure that we beat all the deadlines. It was an annoying experience especially given that the person would use it as a trick to make to evade doing hectic work. However, we eventually addressed the problem.

Tell Me About a Time When a Client Disagreed With You

At KSDT, our main professional obligation wad to ensure that the clients received the best customer service. The manager ensured that we understood that customers were at the helm of the company’s existence. Although the clients were held in such high regard, it was almost inevitable not to disagree with one of them. It remains important to note that the tax department dealt with some of the most critical accounting problems. I remember one time when I when the supervisor was absent and I had to fill in for him. A client approached us complaining that the tax compliance information on the system failed to portray the business entity she managed accurately. She further provided proof of the amount of money she had previously been paying as tax before the sudden change. However, I explained to her that since she had re-registered her business unit from a sole proprietorship to a partnership, the tax behavior had to change. Although she initially protested my explanations, she soon understood the source of the discrepancy and appreciated it.

Tell Me About A Time You Had Too Much To Do, How Did You Handle It?

The only time I was ever overwhelmed was when I was teaching clients how to fill their tax returns. It was a hectic job that ran for several weeks. It was also tiresome as many people including independent citizens and business entities who wanted to learn how to efficiently fill their tax returns in line with the recent state policy on taxes. I would take approximately 40 minutes to work on one client and averagely 15 customers per day. Although we opened a window of 30 days to do so, it was an experience that had an immense toll on me. However, I learned many important values such as time management and working under pressure.
