In this article, Bonati et al., 2014 evaluates ADHD disorder in children. the research indicate that children born late in school years are at a higher risk of receiving an ADHD diagnosis than their peers at school. The study, however, indicate variations in findings between the different countries. The study aimed to determine whether ADHD is associated with relative age and the levels of severity. The other objective of the research was to determine whether the relationship in age is similar to other neurodevelopment disorders. The study used a data sample of children above six years old from September 2011 to December 2017. The research established that the cumulative ADHD incidence was highest among the boys, and the prevalence is also high among the boy children (Bonati et al., 2018). ADHD diagnosis can harm children. This case occurs when children demonstrate mild ADHD disorder. Children under ADHD medication demonstrate improved behavior compared to their peers who are not under any ADHD medication.

In this article, Davidovitch et al., 2017 analyze the ADHD trend in children. The authors aimed to determine the potential causes of the disorder and the benefits and harm to children. The approach used in data analysis was the large cohort approach. The study found out that ADHD prevalence rose at a double rate from 6.8 % in 2005 to 14.4% in 2014. There was also a male to female ratio decreased from 2.94 to 1.86 from 2005 to 2014. The ADHD medication used by children increased from 3.57% to 8.51% from 2005 to 2014 (Davidovitch et al., 2017). There have been slight changes in attitude among the parents and the physicians, which has been a significant ADHD factor. Parents consider ADHD diagnosis to have a positive impact on their academic progress. There is a need for ADHD diagnosis children and initiate medication for severe cases of ADHD disorder.
