Leadership is polymorphic and involves the development of a positive attitude and the ability to transfer the approach to others to achieve a common goal. The goal of the leadership workshop is to inform people of the exceptional qualities and values upheld by leaders in society and how they can incorporate them into their roles as leaders. The workshop draws examples from various world leaders and examines their leadership skills and styles. The evaluation of world leadership is to help the audience gauge and compare their leadership to those of historical and modern successful leaders to learn from them. 

The workplace requires diverse leadership styles to deal with situations as they arise and to enhance proper functioning. Thus a leader can be autocratic, the ultimate decision maker making decisions without consultations and expects instructions to be implemented immediately (Northouse, 2018). Leadership can be democratic where team members are involved in critical decision making. The leadership is participative with higher skills and experienced participants and allows the team to be creative competent and intelligent. In the workplace, it is sometimes necessary to adopt the coaching leadership style used mainly to boost employees’ motivation and harnessing their performance skills. Through coaching, employees are groomed and function as a motivated team where members are increasing productivity in the organization. The work environment also demands strategic leadership to deal with threats and uncertainties in the organization through critical decision making (Northouse, 2018). Transformational leadership is deemed essential in the workplace due to its ability to create a thriving work culture by encouraging effective communication among the members if the team. Organizations leaders should also be charismatic attracting followers to them. Organization leadership, therefore, constitutes a set of responsibilities and challenges to be addressed and requires distinct leadership styles for effectiveness and efficiency. Both historical and modern leaders exhibit various leadership styles which have made them successful world leaders.

Martin Luther King Jr. is known as a great leader of his time. He used a variety of leadership styles to establish and lead one of the most historical movements in the world which successfully led to the abolition of segregation in the United States. Martin Luther King was a transformational leader, a servant and also practiced authoritarian leadership skills when it became necessary. He is also seen as a coach and a mentor who inspired his followers by enlightening them and bringing awareness. Individuals can draw great lessons from their leadership styles and achievements. Martin Luther King emphasis on the need for disruption of the status quo in pursuit of change is a profound lesson that can improve the leadership and understanding of individuals in administration adding value to their contribution in the workplace. 

Adolf Hitler leadership of the Nazi party is a worldwide known concept. His command was autocratic which enabled him to retain his focus and make decisions on his own. Hitler maintained the ultimate authority to make decisions and failed to accept failure and mistakes from his followers leading to punishments and development of negative attitudes towards them. The analysis of Hitler attitude and approach to leadership will help leaders to learn the concept of dictatorship leadership and understand how it impacts workplace productivity. The use of Hitler authoritarian leadership empowers individuals in direction today to be more collaborative by working with their followers to form teams that work together. The main lesson from Hitler leadership is the challenge and effect of dictatorship on followers hindering productivity and accomplishment of the set objectives and instead the prediction of failure of the organization due to lack of support and progress. 

Mahatma Gandhi was a world leader who inspires a million leaders in the current society. Through his engagement in a servant leadership style by taking care of his followers. His insistent on nonviolence and the various challenges encountered are inspirational to modern leaders. An analysis of Mahatma Gandhi combines different leadership qualities such as the role of effective communication. Gandhi had a clear vision for his followers which he laid down to them precisely through simple language to his followers. Form these style leaders learn to be persistent by moving forward past defeat by continuing with the effort until the leaders successfully attain the set goals and objectives. 

Examples of new leadership that the audience can draw lessons from include Mark Zuckerberg who is the CEO of Facebook. Facebook has continued to grow since 2004 and continue to grow and to connect people all over the world. He has empowered his organization through focus, openness, creativity, and innovation. As a business leader, Zuckerberg uses strategic leadership to focus on the future direction of Facebook which helps him to remain relevant and promotes the sustainability of the organization (Northouse, 2018). He is visionary and makes use of all leadership styles which has caused him to remain approachable by his employees and continue to amaze the world by introducing new ideas and practices. 

Using all of the above historical and modern leaders in the workshop will serve various purposes. The discussion of the different styles of leadership will invite the leaders to become more flexible and try out different leadership styles to meet the needs of their organizations. The workshop will create a deeper understanding of leadership skills which will assist the leaders in building on their strengths and adjusting their weaknesses to become more active and balanced to lead others (Northouse, 2018). The experience will trigger self-examination and definition of values and perceptive which will improve communication within the organization. The information for the workshop will also help in the selection of an ideal work environment. The experience will also assist in approaching workplace challenges and finding solutions. 

Conclusion 

A leadership workshop based on the analysis of leadership styles by examining historical leaders is a powerful and effective way of influencing the workplace environment. Individual get an opportunity to think and interpret their leadership styles and their effectiveness. The analysis gives room for improvement on leadership by building on the strengths and eliminating the weaknesses. The workshop is instrumental as it helps modern leaders to learn how to use the various leadership styles and in which circumstances as using only one method of leadership is proven to be ineffective in meeting the diverse needs of the organization
