Establishing a caring and nurturing environment where the children feel safe is another strategy to ensure that children attend school (Hewitt, 2008). Providing resources to cater for their basic needs as well to ensure they are comfortable and equipped better for learning, will help these children take full advantage of their opportunities to get an education. Sensitizing the educators on the dynamics of homelessness and its effects on learning will also help the teachers be more aware and proactive about what they can do to enable these children to have a better learning experience.
