Integrity is a fundamental component for every student in the education setting. Cheating or helping others to cheat during an exam is one academic integrity violation prohibited by the Codes of Conduct. In essence, students are mandated to read and undertake their exams to the best of their knowledge. Moreover, prohibiting cheating during exams promotes fairness in education. However, there have been cases where students cheat by using unauthorized resources and reading materials during the exam. Alternatively, other students have sought the help of their peers to undertake the exam on their behalf. Another academic integrity violation is selling essays, discussion papers, or course materials to commercial websites or other students. Arguably, students keep on finding ways to cheat their way through the education curriculum to receive high grades. As such, these students go to the web and purchase essay papers that others have already done. These acts violate the Academic Codes of Conduct as they promote unfairness in the academic setting.

On the other hand, one conduct violation is using falsified documents to gain admission to the university. Students who want to join the university must provide accurate documents, including previous academic certificates and transcripts, to qualify for admission. However, students can forge these documents and gain admission to the university. The university classifies forgery as a conduct violation, prohibiting such acts by students who wish to study at this prestigious university. Additionally, exhibiting behaviors that do not adhere to the university's conduct is also another violation. Undoubtedly, the university has witnessed students behaving in a manner not supported by the university, leading to their expulsion and suspension from the institution. For instance, bullying is a common behavior that the university prohibits. While bullies enjoy their actions to assert dominance among other students, its impact on the victims is well documented. As such, the university does not take lightly behaviors that create an unconducive school environment.

Plagiarism is an issue that academic settings take seriously. In essence, plagiarism involves using another person's ideas, work, or words without acknowledging them. In most cases, students plagiarize because they fail to create sufficient time to write their papers or essays. As such, they copy other people's ideas without their consent and submit the work to their teachers. Moreover, plagiarism can result from failing to cite sources when presenting other people's ideas. There are guiding standards that help students minimize plagiarism. However, most students fail to adhere to these rules, such as using quotation marks and citing the author's idea when writing their assignments. A common misconception is that students feel they would not get caught when plagiarizing their papers. With modern and powerful plagiarism tools at use in most universities, students who plagiarize can be easily caught.

Avoiding plagiarism and other dishonest acts during group work or individually means creating an excellent time management system that allows them to plan their work adequately. Plagiarism results from procrastination, forcing students to submit work copied from others or lacks citations. At the same time, groups should understand the university's policies on what constitutes plagiarism and how to avoid it. While each student desires to receive a good grade, they should not revert to cheating in the education setting. All students and groups should take time to undertake their assignments and acknowledge other people's ideas. They should also consult their faculty in case they need more information or clarification on plagiarism.
