Ladies and Gentlemen, freedom of speech, academic freedom, and intellectual diversity are the means to an end of truth-seeking. If people do not maintain their mission of truth-seeking through reasoned discourse, then they do not remain committed to the freedom of speech or freedom of inquiry. Truth-seeking and the freedom of the mind are interconnected. Freedom of speech is a crucial tenet of a democratic and free society, and every person should support and encourage vigorous, challenging, and open debates about the issues as they present themselves to the community (Stoner, 2016).
Ladies and gentlemen, free speech and free inquiry are the cornerstones of every organization and a good life. Expression of diverse ideas and points of view is of great importance, not only for those people who present and defend particular views but also for those who disagree, pass judgment, and hear on those views. The belief that a specific opinion is false, despicable, offensive, detestable, damaging, or wrong cannot be a ground for its suppression.

Ladies and gentlemen, Free speech and free inquiry are the most fundamental rights, and they are the most contested. They are essential freedom because it is how we protect our other liberties and rights. If we could not be free to speak openly about the actions and policies of the government, then we would not have an effective way to protest if we believe our freedom is threatened or participate in democratic processes. Freedom of speech and inquiry requires that individuals should be allowed to express their ideas, opinions, and viewpoints without being restricted in any way.
Ladies and gentlemen, the philosophy of freedom try to address the questions in what sense and whether individuals can be said to be free. It examines the basis for thinking freely as well as analyzing the conditions required for an individual to be free. Ladies and gentlemen, freedom of speech, and freedom of inquiry require that one is not restricted from freely speaking and communicating facts and ideas without being targets of job loss, imprisonment, or repression ( Shermer, 2017) . Philosophy of freedom examines the conditions where the freedom of speech and freedom of inquiry are not violated.
Every institution should sustain a more open and higher standard for free speech and freedom of inquiry for it to be able to transfer and create knowledge effectively. A person should be able to speak freely, with vigor, including the freedom to offer opinions, the right to hear what is presented as an audience, and the right to engage with speakers as protestors to challenge ideas as long as there is no disruption of free exchange of ideas ( Shermer, 2017) . The responsibility to respect other people and promote a culture of inquiry in the community lies on the speakers, society members, and listeners.
Ladies and gentlemen, over the years, people have craved the right to express themselves freely, even if it has been denied them. Freedom is something people have fought for years, and I can confidently say that if we cannot believe in freedom of speech and freedom of inquiry for the people that we despise, then we cannot claim to believe in it. Ladies and gentlemen, freedom of inquiry are useless without the freedom of speech and, in the end, no freedom of thought. Freedom of speech and freedom of inquiry are both for the sake of seeking the truth, and it should not be limited to some people.
Even though freedom is meant to uncover the truth, one is not allowed to lie since that is a deliberate way of presenting what is not right in the form of truth (Stoner, 2016). Lying is the reason as to why there are rules to restrict who speaks where and when and on what subject. It would be best if you understood the right time and the right words to talk freely.
Thank you.
