The United States of America is a prosperous nation owing to the sound systems that contribute to the stable economy; however, the land is dogged by a sad state of affairs captured by disparities captured through low-income families. It is indeed an issue for the country, thereby mitigated by nonprofit services rendered by establishments such as the National Coalition for the Homeless through outreach programs, donations, and other mitigation operations.

Homelessness is the “state of individuals failing to acquire a fixed, regular, and sufficient nighttime residence” (Donley et al., 2017). The U.S entails vast populous suffering from the adverse condition owing to financial constraints. The urban cities such as New York are some of the areas that the issue is dominant given the large population and minimal resources to support the entire community. The Great Depression and the Great Recession are occurrences that facilitated the state of homelessness during their aftermaths. The National Coalition for the Homeless entails individuals currently experiencing the condition or those that have experienced it coupled with the community, advocates, and other service providers (“THE NATIONAL COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS”). The mission for the establishment is the prevention and termination of homelessness coupled with operations to handle their needs and protection of their civil rights.

Organizations require network input and proper financing to handle their aspirations. The key stakeholders, in this case, includes the homeless who are the main focus. Another key player is the government and relevant authorities who ensure the adoption of proper policies seeking to hand low-income individuals the financial means to transform their lives (Lucas, 2017). The organization owes much of appreciation to the community that acts as donors as they finance operations and programs for a proper-working system. The resources needed include donations in the form of funds (that comes in handy for distribution operations) and other products like supplies for the outreach programs. The establishment offers those with experiences of homelessness the opportunity to provide sufficient input and make relevant decisions regarding lasting solutions to the national problem.

The operations of the National Coalition for the Homeless experiences various challenges and results. Some of the problems include raising sufficient funds to handle the programs. It is critical to note that the U.S, especially urban areas, exhibit many homeless individuals in the streets during the night depicting a scenario whose handling requires substantial financial input (Donley et al., 2017). Another challenge is the issue of distrust owing to the frequent disturbance of the peace of those undergoing the condition through various establishments in a bid to clear off the streets. Some of the results include setting at peace the psychological disconnect and protection of the rights of the victims. Another is meeting some of the needs of the homeless by handing them basic needs in products such as food and clothing.

The engagements of nonprofit services as in this case, require sufficient follow-ups as the commitments reflect various lessons. The gaps during mitigation require oversight in some of the operations such as providence of necessities such as food during outreach programs. A critical aspect is the health restoration of psychologically unstable victims owing to their predicaments. Finally, the government, through the policymakers, require continual monitoring and lobbying for them to pass sufficient policies that mitigate the issue of homelessness. The other developments point to lessons learned regarding the methodology the establishment enacted to balance institutional changes for solving the problem. One lesson is that different departments require sufficient networking through frequent communications to establish efficiency. The other is that nonprofit organizations need the best structures that guarantee the acquisition of grants from government agencies as benefits.

The National Coalition for the Homeless gives nonprofit services for low-income families captured by the homeless through ventures such as outreach programs. One of the key stakeholders is the government that enacts policies and issues grants. The establishment faces challenges in their engagements, which transcends to the lesson of adopting ideal systems to earn benefits.
